The AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team shapes the digital transformation necessary for our treatments to positively impact patients’ lives. In the role of Sr BSAt, you’ll tackle complex challenges as you develop and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Consulting with scientific partners to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs supported by the systems. Responsible for determining how changing business needs will affect the system. Understands the role of the system in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution of the system.
Developing detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling. Negotiates plans, time frames and trade-offs while ensuring scientific partners understand the final results of the project.
Ensuring current and accurate system documentation, coordinates and/or performs testing of system modifications, of both validated and non-validated systems. Provides systems expertise and supports system training, educational tools and materials.

Tools and skills you will use in this role:
Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience
Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented.
Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills.
Must have a strong customer focus.
Preferred
Background in scientific informatics (LIMS, SDMS, CDS, etc.) and lab operations.
Work experience in pharmaceutical industry within R&D organization.
Work experience in a laboratory IT role.
Experience in the development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise systems.
