Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Operations, International Marketing, this role accelerates commercial effectiveness through advanced data analytics, cross-functional strategic planning, and robust performance reporting. Beyond technical excellence, the Associate Director will shape and deliver actionable insights and strategies that drive business growth, optimize processes, and fuel a culture of data-driven and market-centric decision-making across Specialty Care brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships across AbbVie functional areas: ICEX, WWD, MABI, BTS, Finance, INBTs etc.
- Maintain and enhance the standardized ELT (Executive Leadership Team) reporting process for Specialty Care, ensuring robust data support for performance monitoring.
- Expand capabilities of analytics platforms to fully support upcoming brand launches and strengthen tracking for on-market brands.
- Ensure regular performance monitoring to fulfill award criteria e.g. Zenith and harmonize communication across therapeutic areas.
- Coordinate the development/updating of quarterly investor relation reports in a timely and consistent manner.
- Partner with CEx on the adoption of the Pulse Framework, integrating ACE metrics into monthly reviews to inform strategic discussions across INBTs, Areas, and Affiliates. Ensure data integrity through accurate and reliable data sourcing.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of patient tracking tools and drive actionable insight generation in partnership with MABI.
- Champion a data-driven and analytics-focused mindset, continually seeking opportunities for process innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Synthesize multiple data sources to generate insights that are meaningful, actionable and deliver value.
- Partner with Finance to further streamline financial planning and LRP processes for Specialty, leveraging advanced digital tools for simplification and consistency.
- Engage and partner with other Strategic Operations Planning and Data Leads for various initiatives and to build key capabilities within IMCO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in business or equivalent. MBA – preferred
- 5+ years Pharma/Healthcare experience, ideally Area and/or Affiliate exposure
- Excellent business acumen, advanced data and analytical skills with strong capabilities in data platforms, reporting tools and process design
- Data driven approach to decision making, ability to turn data onto meaningful insights
- Deep understanding of marketing concepts, portfolio and brand management, and commercialization processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams, act as advisor and strategic partner, and drive innovation to reality
- Strategic thinker, ability to anticipate trends/changes in the market and identify growth opportunities
- Planning, organizing and managing multiple complex projects whilst dealing with conflicting priorities, efficiently and effectively
- Excellent communication, networking, storytelling, and relationship-building skills; able to work effectively with all levels of the organization across multiple countries
- Strong results orientation, fast learner, and constructive problem solver
- Demonstrated ability to drive high performance and resolve challenges constructively
