Job Description
Purpose
Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.
Maintain, monitor, control and perform the necessary maintenance activities to assure a continues operation of the utilities systems, according to the established standards and parameters. The objective is to produce and distribute utilities services to users at the lowest cost, in the safest and most efficient method and in compliance with all the CGMP, safety, and quality requirements and within the approved budget.

- Provide assistance to operations in accordance with environmental management, occupational health and safety (EH&S) systems and promote continuous improvement. Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting, use of PPE, waste management and disposal, and any other program applicable according to the position duties.
- Monitor or inspect the operation of the utilities systems: HVAC, Compressed Air, Steam, LNG, and Water (Well, Process, Potable, Soft, RO, Fire, and Purified) systems, address or complete maintenance activities during the operational shift, assign the daily activities and document the incidents in the Log Book.
- Perform the necessary activities to maintain the Utilities systems (drinking water, soft water, cooling tower water, purified water, plant water, steam, HVAC, Nitrogen, etc.) within the Company established parameters. These activities include chemical analysis, chemical transfers, and sanitization among others.
- Participate in the new personnel training and perform the LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), when required and perform any of Utilities Operator responsibilities, when is required.
- Verify the operation of the WWTP processes (Tanks, Phases, UF, RO, PRASA discharge, etc.), repair those anomalies that are within its power to repair and report those that cannot be solved to coordinate their repair process and the continuous operation of the area. Complies with company requirements.
- Assure that the daily data (electrical and operational) data is collected and completed as established by the
regulatory agencies, free of errors and following good documentation practices. - Provide technical advice or train co-workers in the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical equipment to assure a continuous growth and the transfer of knowledge.
- Assist and provide support to other functional maintenance areas.
- Verify, remove, replace defective parts and make changes to the utilities areas equipment to assure their continue and reliable operation.
- Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technologies, mechanical, chemical processes, or Technical School certificate (i.e., Instrumentation, Electrician, HVAC or Refrigeration, Industrial Mechanic).
- Verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
- At least two (2) years of experience in Utilities or WWTP operation.
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical (i.e., Instrumentation, Electrician, HVAC or Refrigeration, Industrial Mechanic) area.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
