Job Description
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Part-Time Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly team in both Lumino Feilding and Lumino Manawatu Dental.
This unique role offers one permanent day each week (Fridays) at our Manawatu Dental clinic, where you’ll support our dentist and help deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Depending on your availability and the needs of our practices, additional hours may be offered Monday-Thursday at our Lumino Feilding location, providing great flexibility and variety.
Training for this role will be held across both our Feilding and Manawatu practices, giving you the support and confidence you need as you settle in. Further details will be provided during the interview.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting dentists chairside during procedures
- Maintaining strict sterilisation and infection control standards
- Welcoming patients and managing appointments
- Handling phone enquiries and general administration
- Creating a calm, professional patient experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting or reception is preferred but not essential, as we are willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Well organised and able to multitask
- Friendly, warm and confident
