Job Description
Arηs Group, Part of Accenture, is looking for an Application & Cloud Architect with strong expertise in AWS, Full Stack Development, DevOps, and CI/CD/IaC to reinforce one of its major programmes at the European Commission.
Context
The context is centred around modern cloud‑native architectures with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, security, and reliability. As an Application & Cloud Architect, you will play a key role at the intersection of development teams, DevOps engineers, and technical stakeholders, driving architectural decisions and ensuring the successful evolution of complex enterprise systems.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and maintain application and cloud architectures
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK)
- Review existing systems and contribute to cloud migration and modernisation
- Support development teams across backend (Java/Python) and frontend (Angular)
- Produce architecture and technical documentation
- Analyse system integrations, data flows and technical requirements
- Participate in technical meetings and provide guidance to developers
- Perform code/architecture reviews and coach junior team members
- Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting and 3rd‑line technical analysis

- Fluent in English (C1)
- Security‑clearable (EU27)
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
Technical Skills
Backend & Frontend
- Java (5+ years)
- Python
- Angular (5+ years)
- REST/SOAP APIs
- PostgreSQL
- Experience with WildFly, Docker, Bash
Cloud & DevOps
- AWS CDK (minimum 2 years — mandatory)
- AWS services: S3, IAM, CloudFront, ECR, EFS, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, EC2, SNS…
- CI/CD tools: CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CodeArtifact
- Knowledge of cloud security, HA principles and cost optimisation
Nice to Have
- AWS Architect or Developer certification
