The Cloud Centre of Excellence of ARHS is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join its Managed Services Team, operating solutions deployed on multiple public clouds (AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc…). You will be entrusted in maintaining the evoluting infrastructure of large complex workloads but also the Observability (Site-Reliability Engineering), Sustainability and Cost-Effectiveness of such workloads. Further you will be able to write Infrastructure as Code, take care of CI/CD   to automate maintenance and will contribute in Disaster Recovery Game days.

Typical tasks will be:

  • Managing the operations and monitoring of public cloud workloads
  • Handling customer’s request, responding quickly and effectively, following up with clients to ensure successful resolution, prioritize based on criticality and/or SLA
  • Lead incident response under SLA
  • Create Incident Post-mortems
  • Critically analyze operations for process improvement
  • Create and review documentation, design new solutions and standard operating procedures
  • Contribute to Disaster Recovery Game days
  • Support sustainability and cost effectiveness
  • Automate tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer focus / Customer service experience
  • A strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, ELB, …) and Linux operating system is required. Knowledge of other cloud providers is an asset
  • In love with automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Good understanding of cloud best practices, DevOps principles
  • Intermediate programming/scripting skills
  • Understanding of networking principles and ability to troubleshoot (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP)
  • To be a team player, customer-, solution- and improvement-minded
  • Good command English
  • Bonus : you are cloud certified!
