ARHS Spikeseed is looking for an Azure Data Platform Engineer for the realization of one of its client’s projects and maintaining the availability of its Data Platform (Microsoft Azure)

Role & Responsibilities

• Mapping the data in data sources
• Profiling and determining the data quality of the data in data sources
• Participate in the evaluation and further elaboration and fine-tuning of the underlying data platform architecture
• Further set-up and development of Data Lakes as an integral part of the new Data Platform
• Creating high-performance data pipelines to integrate new data sources into Data Lake or further layers of the platform
• Design of the necessary data models in the correct layers of the platform to integrate the data
• Documentation of the architecture, available datasets and technical solutions
• Translating complex business issues into concrete Data/BI solutions
• Optimising the performance of developments and data structures (indexes, partitions, compression, in-memory tables, etc.)

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with active knowledge of English

Technical skills

At least 5 years of experience in implementation projects on the Microsoft Data Platform. An extensive knowledge of both on-premise and Azure SQL technology is a must.

• Data modeling in DWH/BI context (Data Vault is plus)
• T-SQL (strong must)
• SQL Server Databases
• Azure Synapse Analytics (Pipelines & Serverless SQL)
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Data Lake
• Knowledge of Data Lake concepts and architecture is a strong plus

Extensive experience with

• End-to-end Azure SQL projects
• Azure Data Platform integrations
• Building automated ETL/ELT processes using Synapse pipelines
• Relational, Dimensional & Data Vault modeling
• Mapping data sources
