We're looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to join our growing consulting practice. Combining strategic thinking, deep psychosocial risk expertise and exceptional consulting leadership, you will partner with organisations to solve complex workplace challenges while helping shape the future growth and direction of our practice.
Your Impact Starts Here
You will lead complex and high-value consulting engagements across public and private sector organisations, helping clients understand organisational challenges and implement practical, evidence-based solutions.
You will partner with executives, senior leaders and key stakeholders to assess organisational needs, provide strategic advice and guide meaningful change. You will also play a key role in strengthening client partnerships, leading major accounts, supporting practice growth and building the capability of others within the consulting team.
This role combines strategic consulting, client leadership, facilitation and practice development. You'll work across all stages of an engagement, from discovery and diagnosis through to design, delivery, implementation and evaluation, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of Communicorp's psychosocial risk, workplace mental health and organisational effectiveness offerings.
The successful candidate can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, with some interstate travel required.

Areas of responsibility
Client Impact and Consulting Excellence
- Lead complex engagements across psychosocial risk, workplace mental health, organisational effectiveness, leadership and culture.
- Advise executives and senior leaders using evidence-based insights and practical recommendations.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative information to develop strategies, action plans and tailored solutions.
- Design and facilitate executive workshops, leadership programs and stakeholder consultations.
- Adapt approaches to complex client environments while maintaining high consulting standards and sustainable outcomes.
Client Leadership, Growth and Practice Development
- Build trusted client partnerships and lead key accounts through high-quality delivery and strategic advice.
- Identify emerging client needs and develop practical, tailored solutions.
- Lead proposals, strategic conversations, presentations and solution design.
- Translate emerging psychosocial risk, workplace health, leadership and organisational trends into relevant services.
- Contribute to thought leadership, service innovation and the growth of the consulting practice.
Leadership, Governance and Team Contribution
- Lead engagements from scoping to evaluation, with accountability for quality, timelines, stakeholders and outcomes.
- Coordinate resources and delivery across multiple engagements.
- Coach consultants and provide mentoring and quality review.
- Strengthen capability through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Champion collaborative, scalable ways of working that support consulting excellence and sustainable growth.
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Significant experience in workplace consulting, organisational development, psychosocial risk, workplace mental health or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychosocial risk management, psychological health and safety, organisational effectiveness or leadership.
- Experience leading complex engagements, multiple priorities and senior stakeholder relationships.
- Strong executive facilitation, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent written communication across reports, proposals, presentations and strategic recommendations.
- Strong project leadership and governance skills.
Highly Regarded
- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA (preferred but not mandatory).
- Qualifications in Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Behavioural Science, Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering psychosocial risk, culture, leadership or organisational change initiatives.
- Experience leading strategic client accounts and developing consulting teams.
