Job Description
As a Senior Functional Safety Designer, your role is to define, maintain, and update the Electrical and Electronic Architecture Design dossier (DCEE), ensuring that all functional requirements are clearly specified, robust, and compliant with safety standards. Beyond your technical expertise, you demonstrate strong leadership capabilities by leading and coordinating teams of consultants, providing effective training and guidance, and fostering a collaborative working environment. You work closely with project management and key stakeholders, contributing to project success through informed decision-making and active participation in strategic planning and governance activities.
- Conduct audits on use cases and scenarios.
- Design and consolidate DCEE system functional specifications.
- Manage integration of modification requests.
- Prepare and present QCTP (Quality, Cost, Time, Planning) to Stellantis Management.
- Align with suppliers and follow-up on requirements.
- Interact with Stellantis design group, project teams, TCS, and component teams.
- Analyze issues and perform DIAG synthesis.
- Lead and mentor a team of consultants, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate closely with project management to align activities with project goals and timelines.
- Represent the EE team in high-level meetings, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the EE architecture team, identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all EE designs and implementations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electronics, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in functional safety and system design.
- 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Strong experience in functional requirements design using tools such as ENOVIA.
- Good knowledge of functional architecture design (CATIA).
- Ability to manage product diversity and ensure requirements consistency.
- Solid experience in technical analysis and root cause investigation (PLM).
- Ability to propose functional solutions and produce technical documentation/notes.
- Experience in reviewing and validating requirements upstream from specifications.
- Capability to generate Technical Function Design (TFD) documentation.
- Strong skills in leading and facilitating technical reviews.
- Ability to prepare clear and structured technical reports.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and ensure system compatibility.
