Job Description

Based on the outputs from the System Teams and the different disciplines, VFM identifies risks, proposes re‑convergence plans and if necessary negotiates timing adjustment.

  • He / she helps VSS prioritize activities in case of difficulty / resources unavailability
  • VFM is in charge of ensuring global consistency and execution of various functional validation plans
    • Guarantees that all validation activities are planned in consistency with each other and based on expected SW maturity (regular SW deliveries or bug fixes)
    • Monitors the execution of functional and dysfunctional validation with respect to expected timing, and alerts in case of drift
    • Functional safety activities will be driven by PSM with the support of VFM to consolidate global functional and dysfunctional validation plan

Coordinate with the technical experts at the vehicle level to assist in issue resolution, help support Vehicle Issue Resolution and provide lessons learned for vehicle projects

  • Add SW Tracking KPI

Following tasks are expected from VFM:

  • Consolidate functional synthesis for milestone assessments
  • Contribute to converging resources in the different disciplines
  • Check White Books assessment for functional aspects
  • Build QCTP when arbitration is required on functional convergence and priorities
  • Check overall validation plan for the project
  • Gather and consolidate information from STLs and discipline PPLs to build global maturity score card
  • Challenge and consolidate validation plan
  • Work in partnership with PSM to guarantee coherence of global validation, and participate to safety assessments and safety releases

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of vehicle functions
  • Mastery of functional requirements
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Mastery of vehicle function standards
