Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Fluid System Engineer, you will join Bristol team to support our activities within the Energy sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Functional Requirements: Define and draft detailed functional diagrams, write functional test procedures, and test I&C logic while incorporating feedback into specifications. Develop human-machine interface elements such as alarm sheets, operating images, and procedures.

  • Mechanical Design: Size components, perform thermal-hydraulic calculations and modeling, and ensure consistency of 3D models with system design. Formulate equipment specifications, provide data in respective databases, and support procurement teams in technical specification formulation and supplier documentation surveillance.

  • Analysis and Verification: Analyze and verify input data, requirements, and lessons learned from previous projects or other stations.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Mechanical or process engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Working Knowledge of process engineering, thermal-hydraulic calculations, fluid mechanics and modelling
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system design for nuclear power plant
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control design
