Job Description

AHRC NYC will be holding a series of HIRING EVENTS with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Assistant Manager and Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions for multiple QUEENS Residences.

HIRING EVENT DATES: all dates are 10am-1pm.

Tuesday March 31st

Thursday April 9th 

Thursday April 30th

LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates.

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED: All positions include full Benefit Package, which includes free Medical insurance. See additional Benefit information below.

1. RESIDENTIAL ASSISTANT MANAGERS: Salary $43,000 - $48,000 per year plus overtime when warranted and an additional $750.00 bonus upon completion and passing of AHRC NYC Defensive Driving class, if driving is required.

Schedule: must be willing to work one day of each weekend...no overnights.

Qualifications

  • Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Required.
  • Experience supervising staff in a residential setting preferred not required.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations, Required.
  • Valid New York or Tri-State drivers license for more than one year in good standing, Required.

2. DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS (DSP): Pay Rate: $20-$21.36 per hour depending on position and residence placement.

40hr Day and evening shifts: 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm...NY or Tri-State Drivers license Required.

40hr weekday & 30hr weekend Overnight shifts: 10pm-8am...Drivers license NOT Required.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work weekends.
  • Valid NY or Tri-State drivers license for more than one year, in good standing
  • Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
  • Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
