Job Description
We’re looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Sales & Marketing team. This role bridges our Documentation and Logistics divisions, ensuring smooth end-to-end order management and exceptional support for both internal and external stakeholders.
The role is primarily responsible for:
- Ensuring customer orders are booked onto ocean vessels, giving consideration to customer delivery requirements, inventory availability constraints and best cost solutions;
- Monitoring and influencing site container loading plans to ensure they are smooth and attainable to meet the required deadlines;
- Communicating to the land transport providers the plan requirements to ensure the required transport solution is delivered efficiently to the site loading plans;
- Prepare and process accurate shipping and export documentation in line with NZ export regulations and destination country requirements
- Using entrusted authority to make decisions on logistics issues with appropriate justification and consideration of cost-effectiveness to ensure orders and product continue to flow to meet the required deadlines;
- Continuously looking for opportunities to deliver a standardised process across the network and improve the execution of the supply chain to deliver value for AFFCO and customers. This includes process, people and system opportunities.
- Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy and consistency
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure orders meet customer expectations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- A tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, or related discipline; or commensurate experience;
- Resilient with the ability to work under pressure and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines;
- Strong organisational and communication skills to manage workload and prioritise;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Fast learner in internal and external computer systems and processes;
- Ability to work with multiple key stakeholders both internal and external in dynamic industry changing environment.
