Key Responsibilities

  • Verify compliance with approved IFC/shop drawings, specifications, method statements, material approvals, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Check pipeline alignment, levels, coordinates, gradients, cover depths, and clearances in coordination with the Survey Team.
  • Ensure only approved pipes, fittings, valves, and other materials are incorporated into permanent works.
  • Witness hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, water-quality testing, and other required testing and commissioning activities.
  • Inspect valve chambers, washouts, air valves, fire hydrants, and associated structures to verify installation quality and accessibility.
  • Monitor construction interfaces with sewerage, stormwater, irrigation, roads, electrical, telecommunications, and other utility networks.
  • Identify and report defective or non-conforming works and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, photographs, test results, and daily site reports.
  • Coordinate with the ARE/RE, Contractor, QA/QC Team, Material Engineer, Surveyors, and other discipline inspectors.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE requirements, particularly for deep excavations, lifting operations, pressure testing, confined spaces, and live water network connections.
  • Coordinate inspections and approvals with TAQA Water and other relevant authorities.
  • Support testing, commissioning, snagging, de-snagging, as-built verification, authority approvals, and final handover of potable water networks.

The candidate should demonstrate sound knowledge of potable water pipeline installation, pressure testing, flushing, disinfection, water-quality requirements, utility coordination, QA/QC procedures, and relevant authority standards, together with strong site inspection, reporting, and coordination skills.
