Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall construction supervision activities across all infrastructure work packages and disciplines.
- Oversee construction of roads, earthworks, stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, electrical networks, street lighting, telecommunications, landscaping, public realm, and associated infrastructure works.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved IFC/shop drawings, specifications, method statements, material approvals, ITPs, contractual requirements, and authority standards.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary supervision teams, including REs, AREs, Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors, Material Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Commercial, and Document Control personnel.
- Monitor construction progress against the approved programme, identify delays and critical activities, and coordinate appropriate mitigation and recovery measures.
- Review Contractor manpower, equipment, productivity, work fronts, construction sequencing, and short-term programmes.
- Manage interfaces between different infrastructure packages, contractors, utilities, buildings, landscaping, and other development components.
- Coordinate with the Design Team to resolve RFIs, design discrepancies, constructability issues, utility clashes, technical queries, and site constraints.
- Lead construction, progress, technical, coordination, risk, and interface meetings and ensure timely closure of agreed actions.
- Maintain effective coordination with the Client, PMC, Contractors, government authorities, utility providers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation of project QA/QC and HSE requirements and monitor timely closure of NCRs, observations, and corrective actions.
- Identify construction, programme, stakeholder, and interface risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support the Project Manager and Commercial Team in reviewing variations, claims, EOT matters, payment applications, and other contractual/commercial issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years post-undergraduate experience plus 5 years in a senior technical position.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural etc) and PMP preferable, plus membership of a recognized professional institution preferred
