Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Advisor Safety, Health & Environment to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs across our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to ensure full compliance with UAE labor laws, international safety standards, and organizational policies. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a culture of safety and environmental responsibility while minimizing risks and protecting our workforce.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures aligned with UAE regulations and international best practices
- Conduct comprehensive hazard assessments and risk analyses on construction sites to identify potential dangers and recommend mitigation strategies
- Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings; and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to construction workers, supervisors, and management personnel
- Maintain detailed records of safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution phases
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend continuous improvements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from all stakeholders
- Stay current with changes in UAE labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Prepare safety reports and presentations for management and regulatory authorities
- Coordinate with external agencies and regulatory bodies on safety compliance matters
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment management within the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws, safety regulations, and construction industry standards
- Proven expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies
- Strong proficiency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Preferred: NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification or equivalent
