Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (Site Supervision) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee structural construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards. You will serve as the primary technical authority on-site, coordinating between design teams, contractors, and project management to deliver high-quality structural work that meets all project requirements and timelines.

  • Supervise and monitor all structural construction activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions
  • Review and approve construction methods, materials, and workmanship before installation
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve structural conflicts and ensure seamless project execution
  • Verify that all structural elements meet design requirements through on-site testing and quality control procedures
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily logs, inspection records, and as-built drawings
  • Identify and address structural deficiencies or deviations from design, recommending corrective measures
  • Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and project-specific requirements
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations to project stakeholders and design teams
  • Manage site-related structural queries and provide timely solutions to maintain project momentum
  • Collaborate with safety personnel to maintain a secure work environment and prevent structural-related incidents

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, and construction methodologies
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural design software
  • Thorough understanding of UAE and GCC building codes, standards, and regulations
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality control, safety management, and construction documentation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to make decisive technical decisions under pressure
  • Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence on-site teams
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • Preferred: Experience with BIM software and large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Preferred: Project management certification or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Familiarity with advanced structural analysis tools and software
