Job Description

Job Summary

 AECOM India is seeking talented BIM Specialist for our Civil Engineering practice. Candidates for the BIM Specialist position should have experience in developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models to support planning, design, construction, and documentation across multidisciplinary projects. The role ensures high-quality BIM deliverables, compliance with project standards, and effective coordination among all stakeholders

.Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models using Revit / Civil 3D / Navisworks in accordance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
  • Prepare and coordinate LOD-based BIM models (LOD 200–400) for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings, details, schedules, and quantities extracted from BIM models.
  • Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and support resolution with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure BIM models comply with client standards, ISO 19650, company BIM guidelines, and naming conventions.
  • Support interdisciplinary coordination, including integration of architectural, structural, and services models.
  • Manage model updates based on design changes and maintain version control.
  • Assist in the development of BIM workflows, templates, and libraries.
  • Support construction-phase BIM requirements such as shop drawings, as-built models, and coordination reviews.
  • Provide technical support to design teams on BIM-related issues.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and support BIM-related presentation

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience with projects similar in function, size and scope to the description above.
  • Diploma in Civil engineering or related field.
  • Have experience in General Civil Works like site grading, earthworks, drainage, roads and pavements, fencing, hydraulic and underground piping systems in a design office of repute. Should have exposure to design office practices and familiarity with computer aided design and 3D modelling.
  • Working knowledge of current industry software, including Civil 3D, REVIT, Naviswork,  AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office etc.
