Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV in New York, NY.
Job Details:
- Support the design and analysis of traction power distribution systems, including substations, overhead catenary systems, and third rail systems
- Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts using CAD software
- Perform calculations related to voltage drop, current flow, and power system performance
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Conduct field inspections and site visits to gather data and observe construction activities
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and codes
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Electrical Power Distribution
- Voltage Drop Calculation
- Electrified rail transit systems, including AC and DC systems
- Traction power AC and DC High and Low Voltage systems, including relaying, rectifier, distribution, and SCADA equipment
- AREMA and IEEE standards for Traction Power design
- Revit, Auto-CAD, and Microstation
- OpenBuildings
- Agi32
- ETAP
- SKM
