Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Planning in Oakland, CA.

Job Details:

  • Lead and manage complex transit and multimodal studies, including feasibility studies, NEPA/CEQA environmental clearance, and alternatives analyses for regional and corridor-level planning efforts
  • Conduct technical analyses for transportation projects, delivering strategies and recommendations for transit plans, and identifying appropriate funding sources
  • Conduct multimodal transportation and traffic impact analyses to support land use planning and economic development, recommending improvements to existing facilities and enhancing overall transportation system efficiency through a deep understanding of local and regional planning policies
  • Support neighborhood planning, public involvement and outreach efforts, and project development initiatives aimed at improving air quality and reducing congestion, pollution, and the impact of vehicles in urban areas
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategic project proposals, engage stakeholders, and present findings to advisory boards and elected officials, contributing to the growth of planning services and client trust
  • May telecommute

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning and Policy, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Transportation Planner, Environmental Engineer, or related occupation.

Alternatively, the Employer will accept a Master's degree in Environmental Planning and Policy, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience in a related occupation. 

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. ArcGIS
  2. Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  3. Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  4. Project management of large-scale transit projects
  5. Regional transportation planning processes and policies
  6. Studying and analyzing different modes of transportation and traffic impact analysis for economic development.
