Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Urban Planner to join our innovative team in Shanghai. In this role, you will contribute to shaping the future of a dynamic and rapidly evolving urban environment through strategic planning, sustainable development, and high-quality design solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to planning projects by applying standard methodologies to defined project components
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and site assessments to support project development
  • Assist in the preparation of master plans, urban design concepts, and visual renderings
  • Draft sections of planning reports, policies, and technical documentation
  • Support site feasibility studies and due diligence processes
  • Compile and analyze project data to inform design and planning decisions
  • Assist in preparing materials for permit applications and regulatory approvals
  • Develop client-facing presentations and support public consultations, hearings, and stakeholder meetings
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely project delivery
  • Provide general project support as required

 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in urban planning or urban design is preferred
  • Familiarity with national planning regulations, design codes, and standards

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team

Additional Requirements

  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant project experience is required

Career Level

  • Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for Project Urban Planner or Senior Urban Planner roles
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Assistant Urban Planner position; outstanding fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
