Job Description

Performs BIM modeling and drafting tasks for electrical systems on large-scale projects, primarily within the Middle East region. Works under general supervision while applying technical knowledge and BIM standards to develop coordinated 3D models and project documentation.

Supports project delivery through accurate modeling, drawing production, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and updates 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Autodesk Revit in accordance with project requirements and standards.

  • Produces detailed electrical drawings and documentation, including lighting layouts, power layouts, cable containment systems, and related details.

  • Provides direct project support and production for assigned projects to ensure timely delivery of quality outputs.

  • Assists in maintaining compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Level of Development (LOD), and project standards.

  • Coordinates with Architecture, Structure, and MEP disciplines to support model integration and clash resolution.

  • Performs routine QA/QC checks on models and drawings to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Utilizes project standards, templates, and Revit families/content libraries effectively.

Technical Support & BIM Delivery:

  • Provides technical support and basic training to design staff on BIM tools and workflows.

  • Assists in resolving day-to-day Revit modeling and coordination issues.

  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of BIM standards and digital delivery workflows.

  • Participates in project coordination meetings and model review sessions as required.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks under general supervision.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to project requirements and BIM technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in Revit-based electrical design and drafting.

  • Experience working on large-scale Middle East projects.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) for electrical systems.

  • Understanding of BIM workflows, project standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.

  • Familiarity with Navisworks or similar coordination tools.

  • Knowledge of electrical drafting standards and basic design principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Exposure to BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) platforms.

  • Familiarity with Middle East authority standards and international codes.
