Job Description
AECOM is seeking 2 Project Digital Delivery Managers - one in Sydney, one in Brisbane - to lead digital delivery on some of the most significant transport infrastructure programs in Australia. These are senior, strategic roles at the centre of once-in-a-career work.
How you'll make a difference
- Lead the project Digital Delivery function to ensure alignment with scope, standards, and client requirements, and confirm the externally facing Digital Management Plan (DMP) with the project team and obtain endorsement from Commercial, Risk, and Digital Lead Verifiers.
- Coordinate the Digital Delivery Execution Plan (DDEP/DEXP) across digital and production leads, including Information Management, Automation and Systems, Visualisation and GIS, BIM/Model Management, CAD, and software application specialists.
- Manage digital services and production leads to ensure project systems support delivery, enforcing information exchange and document control workflows.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to mitigate digital delivery risks and establish efficient workflows to meet project milestones.
- Foster an inclusive environment that empowers team members, supports accountability, and encourages professional development.
- Partner with the Project Manager and Director to drive delivery efficiency, feed learnings back into the ANZ digital teams, and ensure continuous improvement is embedded across delivery toolkits and practices.
- Build and develop your team's capability through active mentoring and coaching. You will work alongside a predominantly early-career team and is expected to invest in their growth as a core part of the role.
Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply - all applications will be considered.
- At least 15 years of experience in digital engineering or a related field, with a background in a senior role such as Digital Delivery Manager, Digital Engineering Lead, BIM Manager, or BIM Consultant. Candidates who have progressed from design drafting or digital modelling into a systems and management focus are strongly encouraged to apply.
- A systems management background is essential. Your expertise should be in setting up, governing, and optimising digital delivery systems and workflows, not in hands-on production or CAD. We are looking for someone who drives the system, not the output.
- Solid working knowledge of digital delivery platforms and BIM tools, including ProjectWise, with the ability to configure and manage these at project level. Experience in transport infrastructure delivery is highly valued and will be a strong differentiator.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels, from project directors and clients to technical teams, bringing clarity and purpose to every interaction.
- A demonstrated track record of mentoring and developing junior staff is a core requirement. You will be supporting an early-career team and are expected to play an active role in building their capability alongside your strategic responsibilities.
