Job Description

Performs BIM modeling and design tasks for HVAC mechanical systems on large-scale projects, particularly within the Middle East region. Works independently under limited supervision, applying strong technical knowledge to develop coordinated 3D models and construction documentation.

Supports project delivery while contributing to BIM capability development and adherence to digital engineering standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains 3D BIM models for HVAC systems using Autodesk Revit in line with project specifications and standards.

  • Produces detailed construction drawings, layouts, and schematics (ducting, piping, equipment layouts, sections, and details).

  • Provides direct project support and production for assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.

  • Ensures all outputs comply with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Level of Development (LOD), and project standards.

  • Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Structure, MEP) to resolve clashes and ensure model integration.

  • Performs QA/QC checks on models and drawings to maintain quality and consistency.

  • Utilizes and maintains Revit families, templates, and project standards.

Technical Excellence & Digital Delivery:

  • Provides training and technical support to design staff on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices.

  • Assists in resolving Revit modeling and coordination issues within the team.

  • Supports implementation of BIM standards, libraries, and workflows.

  • Contributes to improving model efficiency, accuracy, and data integration.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Revit-based HVAC mechanical design and drafting.

  • Proven experience in large-scale Middle East projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure).

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) for HVAC systems.

  • Good understanding of BIM processes, LOD, BEP, and coordination workflows.

  • Experience with clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks).

  • Knowledge of HVAC design principles and relevant codes/standards.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

  • Exposure to international standards and Middle East authority regulations.
