Job Description

Our Building Engineering team is growing in Melbourne, we are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our diverse team and work on a range of Buildings Projects across defence, sports infrastructure, healthcare, data-centres, education and aviation projects. 

How you'll make a difference:

  • Deliver civil engineering design for building and civil projects, including site infrastructure, drainage, earthworks, stormwater management, pavements, and utilities coordination, ensuring quality, safety, and constructability.
  • Support project delivery within a collaborative engineering team, contributing technical expertise, sharing knowledge with junior engineers and drafters, and maintaining high standards of design delivery.
  • Apply digital engineering and sustainable design practices, incorporating innovation, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), and environmental considerations into practical project outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively across disciplines and stakeholders, coordinating civil design with architectural, structural, and services teams to support integrated and efficient project delivery.
  • Contribute to client relationships and business development activities through technical input, proposal support, and delivering high-quality outcomes that strengthen client confidence and project success.

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with ideally 5-10 years of relevant experience delivering civil design for building and land development projects within a consulting environment.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or eligibility, with membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body such as Engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to multidisciplinary projects, coordinating design tasks, and supporting successful project delivery within collaborative teams.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, 12D, DRAINS, and/or MUSIC, with a sound understanding of Australian standards, design practices, sustainability, and WSUD principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and project teams.

Due to the nature of our projects, Australian Citizenship is required with previous (or current) defence clearance highly regarded.
