Job Description
The Project Accountant will support the Project Finance Controller in day‑to‑day project finance and controlling activities. The role involves project cost control, invoice and payment follow‑ups, EAC preparation, KPI tracking, and audit support to ensure strong financial governance of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in project controlling activities, including cost monitoring and variance analysis
Follow up on invoices and payments with project/site teams and relevant stakeholders
Support preparation and review of Quarterly EAC (Estimate at Completion)
Track, analyze, and monitor project KPIs, highlighting deviations and risks in a timely manner
Support monthly and quarterly project financial reporting
Coordinate with project/site teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
Vendor's Financial Due Diligence
Assist in internal and external audits, including documentation and query resolution
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
Support ad‑hoc finance analysis and reporting as required
Qualifications & Experience
CA /CMA/CA(Inter) with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in project finance, project accounting, or controlling or
B.Com/M.Com/MBA (Finance) with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in project accounting, controlling, or finance roles
Required Skills & Competencies
Good understanding of project accounting and project controlling concepts
Experience in EAC preparation, cost tracking, and variance analysis
Good knowledge of KPIs related to project performance
Strong coordination and follow‑up skills with cross‑functional and site teams
Good knowledge of audits and financial controls
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar – if applicable)
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical ability
Preferred Experience:
Experience in EPC / Construction / Engineering / Infrastructure projects
