Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Instrumentation & Automation Engineer for full-time position based in our Singapore office. The role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide conceptual and detailed engineering design of process instrumentation, control systems, SCADA, and Network design.
- Develop contract documents such as P&IDs, PLC Control Panel design, control and communication system diagrams, loop & schematic wiring diagrams, Process Control Narratives, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, specifications, hardware and software design, and instrumentation standard details.
- Work closely with other discipline Engineers, Designers and Project Managers as a key team player within an integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery team.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with AECOM QA/QC programs.
- Ensure that project needs are met in an effective and timely manner.
- Work with clients, suppliers and contractors and assist in field work, investigation and support start-up and commissioning activities for our clients, resolve site queries, attend site meetings and perform site inspections during the construction phase of projects.
- Be accountable to provide all activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of AECOM’s policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Manage, organize and participate in multiple work assignments as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Instrumentation & Controls).
- 6+ years of experience in instrumentation & controls design in an industrial related field, including field services/commissioning during construction phase of projects.
- Proven track record in development of contract documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with municipal Water and Wastewater treatment processes is an asset.
- Critical thinking to identify issues, present solutions and follow through to ensure completion.
- Proven leadership qualities or experience to manage and lead work of small design teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
