Job Description
The Senior BIM Engineer – Supervision is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes on the projects. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality digital outputs, alignment with project requirements. The position requires strong coordination, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement to drive digital excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Duties:
- Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and execution plans in the projects.
- Ensure all BIM models and shop drawings comply with company, client, and project-specific requirements.
- Lead the integration of BIM processes into project delivery, ensuring alignment with digital engineering strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related coordination among architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration to resolve BIM-related issues and ensure seamless model integration.
- Support project teams in effectively interpreting and applying BIM standards.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of BIM models and associated digital deliverables.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
- Implement procedures for model audits, clash detection, and data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to project teams on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Manage BIM software tools, including installation, configuration, licensing, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend the adoption of innovative digital solutions to enhance project delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and advancements in digital engineering.
- Develop and manage BIM execution plans tailored to each project's specific needs.
- Monitor progress against BIM deliverables to ensure timely and budget-compliant outcomes.
- Support project reporting and documentation related to digital engineering activities.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, digital workflows, and data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and shop drawing requirements.
- Strong experience in ISO 19650
- Strong working experience in BIM methodologies
- Strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience.
