Job Description
AECOM India is seeking an experienced Electrical / HVAC / MEP Expert to support the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical and MEP systems for infrastructure and building projects. The role involves technical leadership in system design, energy optimization, and close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, integrated project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design of electrical systems, including HT/LT systems, panels, transformers, earthing, and cabling layouts.
- Design and review HVAC and ventilation systems in line with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Perform load calculations, electrical system sizing, and support energy optimization and efficiency studies.
- Coordinate electrical, HVAC, and MEP designs with civil, architectural, and other discipline teams.
- Participate in design reviews, clash coordination, and technical resolution meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and best practices.
- Support construction-phase activities, site coordination, inspections, and technical queries as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BE / M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical and MEP system design.
- Strong experience in HT/LT system design fundamentals, load analysis, and coordination across disciplines.
- Proven experience using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or similar software.
- Experience working in consulting, design, or multidisciplinary project environments is preferred.
Additional Information
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in relevant design and coordination tools, including:
- AutoCAD
- Revit MEP
- ETAP (or equivalent electrical analysis tools)
- Exposure to Civil 3D / GIS is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, electrical codes, and MEP design practices.
- Ability to review drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and reports.
