Job Description

AECOM India is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support cost management, estimation, and contract quantity functions for infrastructure projects. The role involves preparation, review, and control of project costs, BOQs, and tender documentation, ensuring commercial accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and detailed quantity take-offs.
  • Develop rate analysis, cost plans, and assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support measurement, billing, and certification of works, including variations and change management.
  • Assist in preparation and review of tender documents, technical schedules, and commercial inputs.
  • Evaluate contractor submissions, variations, and assess contractor claims in line with contract provisions.
  • Coordinate with design, construction, and project management teams to ensure accurate quantity and cost information.
  • Maintain proper cost records and support project reporting requirements.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BE) in Civil Engineering.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in cost estimation and quantity surveying for infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in preparation of rate analysis, Schedule of Rates (SOR), BOQs, cost estimates, and variations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting execution of works at project sites, including measurements and billing.
  • Experience in assessing contractor claims and supporting contract administration activities.

Additional Information

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in relevant tools and software, including:
    • AutoCAD
    • Civil 3D
    • GIS (as applicable)
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and codes related to quantity surveying and cost management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
