Job Description

AECOM India is seeking an experienced Water Supply Expert to support the planning, design, review, and implementation of water supply systems. The role involves end-to-end engineering design, technical oversight, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams for water transmission, distribution, and water treatment projects, ensuring compliance with national standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design of Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), transmission and distribution pipelines, Elevated Service Reservoirs (ESRs), and pumping systems.
  • Perform and review hydraulic analysis and modeling for water supply networks and related infrastructure.
  • Review Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and detailed engineering designs to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • Ensure designs comply with CPHEEO guidelines and other relevant national and international standards.
  • Provide technical inputs during design reviews, value engineering, and coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Support construction-stage engineering, inspections, and technical reviews as required.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the design and supervision of water supply systems and Water Treatment Plants.
  • Proven experience in planning, design review, and execution support for water transmission and distribution networks.
  • Experience or exposure to SCADA systems for water supply monitoring, control, or system integration is preferred.

Additional Information

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in relevant design and engineering tools, including:
    • AutoCAD
    • Civil 3D
    • GIS
  • Strong working knowledge of industry standards, design codes, and best practices, particularly CPHEEO guidelines.
  • Ability to review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
