Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a talented Bridge Inspector to support our Bridges & Structures team in Chesterfield.
This opportunity will involve a combination of remote work, office presence and field work, performing hands-on inspection of bridge structures throughout the United Kingdom & Ireland.
This position is a gateway to a rewarding career which will provide opportunities for professional and technical growth, as well as career advancement.
AECOM works with clients of various sizes and sectors across the UK&I. Typically this includes Local Authority, Network Rail and National Highway Structural Inspection work, plus involvement in different types of structures where specialist access skills are required.
This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects and a dynamic work environment due to the number, type and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining.
Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Beng/MEng in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Lantra BICS accreditation beneficial
- IRATA Level 1 and Confined Space Training beneficial
- Commitment to working a minimum of 2 days per week in our Chesterfield Office.
- Strong technical skills in bridge engineering and a keen commitment to quality with a ‘right first time’ approach to your own work.
- Experience in the production of drawings, risk assessments and reporting.
