Job Description

AECOM is seeking a TSG - Production Consultant to join our Arlington, VA technology design team.  As part of the technology design team, you will utilize Revit and other design tools to develop detailed technology designs.  This role can be worked remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Key responsibilities can include and are not limited to:

  • Interpret construction documents in order to create detailed 3-D models which can be used to build and maintain solutions.
  • Develop detailed designs for various structures, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures and draw-in minute details of structures and components.
  • Layout and draw schematic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structures.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • Position instructions, notes and comments onto drawings.
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies and resolve design problems.
  • Connect with internal and external customers to assess needs and provide deliverables that are accurate and precise.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure quality and schedule are maintained.
  • Create reports and downloads to assist other team members.
  • Travel periodically to the office and client sites, as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA BS degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design or related field OR demonstrated equivalency of experience &/or education
  • Due to the nature of the work, United States Citizenship is required
  • Experience using Revit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in design or work at an architectural firm
  • Able to interpret and understand construction drawings
  • Ability to communicate engineering requirements
  • High proficiency operating in Revit/BIM/3D software required
  • Ability to think critically to solve problems
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple functional groups to coordinate the flow of information
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines and customer expectations
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and business software

  • Relocation is not available for this role
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This role may require occasional travel.
