Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Inspector - MEP to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems meet the highest quality standards and comply with local and international building codes. You will play a critical role in maintaining project excellence through comprehensive inspections, thorough documentation, and proactive identification of any deviations from specifications.
- Conduct detailed inspections of MEP systems during all phases of construction to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable building codes
- Analyze technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and identify potential quality issues before they occur
- Document inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions using standardized reporting procedures and maintain organized records
- Perform systematic testing and verification of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations to confirm proper functionality and safety standards
- Identify defects, deviations, and areas of non-compliance, and communicate findings clearly to project teams and management
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve quality issues efficiently and implement corrective measures
- Maintain detailed inspection logs, photographic evidence, and comprehensive reports for project documentation and regulatory compliance
- Ensure all work meets Saudi Arabian building regulations and international quality standards applicable to MEP systems
- Perform follow-up inspections to verify that corrective actions have been completed satisfactorily
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and best practices based on inspection observations and industry standards
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in related.
- Proven 10 years of experience in MEP systems inspection or quality assurance within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their integration in building projects
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations, particularly those applicable in Saudi Arabia
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify defects and non-conformances
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Proficiency in inspection tools, equipment, and testing methodologies relevant to MEP systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and inspection protocols
- Preferred: Experience with CAD or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Preferred: Knowledge of Saudi Arabian building codes and local construction regulations
- Preferred: Project management or supervisory experience in construction environments
