Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Visualization Specialist II to join our Visualization and Immersive Delivery team at AECOM Enterprise Capabilities in Romania.

This position is responsible for supporting and assisting with the delivery of high-end visualization and real-time digital experiences across major infrastructure and urban development projects.

This role combines; design communication, digital delivery, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with regional teams, project managers, engineers, planners, and leadership.

A flexible hybrid work arrangement is available to accommodate both office and remote work schedules and the position will be based in Bucharest, Romania.

 Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to project bids, proposals, and pursuit strategies with visualization leadership
  • Support and assist with the visualization and digital storytelling strategy for major projects and pursuits
  • Support client workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations
  • Implement project-specific visualization approaches, tools, and delivery methodologies
  • Develop in the career pathway of subject matter expert for visualization, real-time, and immersive technologies
  • Deliver high-quality stills, animations, real-time experiences, and interactive outputs across transportation, rail, aviation, urban, and mixed-use projects
  • Ensure outputs meet AECOM quality standards, brand guidelines, and client expectations
  • Collaborate with engineering discipline and BIM teams to transfer BIM/CAD data into interactive EXE, VR, and immersive environments
  • Support development of digital twins, phasing simulations, and scenario-based storytelling
  • Support data-driven visualization, including 4D/5D concepts where applicable
  • Collaborate with and support visualization teams across multiple geographies
  • Contribute to technical guidance, reviews, and capability development for other team members
  • Implement AI-assisted workflows and real-time rendering
  • Contribute to EC Digital standards, templates, and best-practice frameworks
  • Onboard to internal capability building, training, and knowledge sharing
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, compelling visual narratives

 

Qualifications

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience delivering high-end visualization for large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Expertise in 3ds Max, V-Ray / Corona, Unreal Engine, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience integrating BIM, CAD, and GIS data into visualization and real-time workflows
  • Understanding of transportation, rail, urban, and infrastructure design processes
  • Experience working with global, geographically dispersed teams
  • Demonstrable portfolio of major infrastructure and urban visualization projects
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

Professional Qualification and Experience:

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Visualization, Digital Media, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in visualization and digital delivery
  • International project experience across regions such as Middle East, UK, Europe, USA, Asia-Pacific preferred
