Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems that drive our organization's success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.   • Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, hydronic, and air-side systems, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and performance optimization
  • Perform detailed load calculations, capacity planning, and heat load analysis to determine system requirements and ensure proper equipment sizing
  • Select and specify appropriate mechanical equipment and components based on project requirements, industry standards, and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and other engineering tools
  • Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and simulations to optimize airflow distribution, identify potential issues, and recommend design improvements
  • Create and maintain detailed P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), flow diagrams, and sequences of operations for mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with overall project infrastructure
  • Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material technical submittals, and requests for information (RFIs) to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Develop and review Method of Procedures (MOP) and Commissioning (Cx) procedures and documentation
  • Analyze and interpret local building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure all designs meet compliance requirements
  • Implement energy-efficient design strategies and sustainability initiatives to minimize operational costs and environmental impact
  • Troubleshoot mechanical system issues and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Participate in project meetings and effectively communicate design plans, progress updates, and technical recommendations to all stakeholders
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment
  • Stay current with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, systems design, or a related field
  • Proficiency in HVAC, hydronic, and air-side system design, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping design, and control systems
  • Strong proficiency with engineering software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis software (Ansys, IES, Cradle, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive engineering documentation
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems design principles, energy efficiency optimization, and system redundancy
  • Experience in equipment selection, specification, and coordination with manufacturers
  • Proficiency in creating P&IDs, flow diagrams, and sequences of operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Experience in reviewing contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to mechanical systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

  • Experience with additional engineering software such as Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, Pipe-Flo, or NavisWorks
  • Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D modeling
  • Background in energy management, sustainability, or green building practices
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in mechanical systems design
  • Experience in commissioning and startup of mechanical systems

**Education and Certifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or eligibility to obtain licensure (preferred)
  • Professional certifications related to mechanical engineering or HVAC systems (preferred)
  • Master's degree or advanced coursework in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, or energy management (preferred)
