Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Landscape Inspector** to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and compliance of landscape installations across our infrastructure projects. Working collaboratively with contractors, project managers, and stakeholders, you will conduct comprehensive inspections, maintain meticulous records, and provide actionable recommendations to support successful project outcomes. - Perform daily field inspections of landscape installations and maintain detailed inspection records with photographic documentation
- Identify and classify plants, ensuring compliance with established grades and standards for nursery plants and local landscaping specifications
- Conduct soil analysis and recommend appropriate soil amendments to optimize plant growth and long-term landscape health
- Monitor conformance to quality standards, performance specifications, and contractual requirements throughout project execution
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of landscape installation projects and address any compliance issues
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to review landscape plans, identify potential challenges, and establish clear expectations before installation begins
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans for newly installed landscapes to ensure sustained success and longevity
- Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activities to verify project completion and readiness for handover
- Track and report on quality assurance progress, maintaining transparent communication with project teams
- Interpret and apply contract documents, specifications, and design plans to guide inspection activities and decision-making
- Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers, ensuring organized and efficient project transitions
Qualifications
**Minimum Requirements:**
- Bachelor degree in Architect Engineering with 10 years of professional experience in landscape inspection, landscape installation, or related field (or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Records history, as regular travel to project sites is required
- Proven ability to identify and classify plants and understand nursery plant grades and standards
- Demonstrated experience conducting field inspections and maintaining accurate inspection documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract documents and technical specifications
- Physical capability to perform fieldwork in outdoor environments, including walking uneven terrain and working in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of soil analysis and landscape irrigation systems
- Proficiency in photography and digital documentation for inspection records
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Intermediate MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) certification
- Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector certification
- Familiarity with landscape and irrigation installation standards and best practices in the Middle East region
- Experience with landscape quality assurance and compliance monitoring on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of local Saudi Arabian landscaping requirements, climate conditions, and plant species suitable for arid environments
- Experience using inspection management software or digital reporting tools
- Certification in landscape design or horticulture
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in previous roles
