Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Platform Architect – DevOps & AI Enablement to design, govern, and evolve the delivery platforms that enable AI-enabled, agentic, and digital solutions to move from development to production at enterprise scale.
This role defines how solutions are built, deployed, operated, and observed, with a primary focus on DevOps architecture, platform standards, and delivery patterns. AI experience is important, not from a model-building perspective, but in understanding how AI and agent-based workloads impact deployment, observability, governance, and runtime operations.
This is an architect-level role focused on system design, standards, and oversight rather than day-to-day engineering execution.
This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work, to be based from either Houston or Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the platform and DevOps reference architecture supporting AI-enabled and digital solutions
- Establish golden paths for build, test, deploy, operate, and observe across environments
- Design and govern CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and environment promotion models
- Enable secure, repeatable delivery for AI services and agent-based workloads, including deployment, authentication, observability, and control boundaries
- Partner with Security and Enterprise Architecture to translate policy into automated delivery and runtime controls
- Ensure auditability, traceability, reliability, and observability are embedded into platform design
- Provide architectural guidance through design reviews and cross-team collaboration
- Identify delivery bottlenecks and evolve platform capabilities as AI and agentic patterns mature
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus at least 10 years of experience in DevOps, platform architecture, or large-scale distributed systems, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Proven experience designing and governing enterprise DevOps or delivery platforms
- Strong knowledge of:
- CI/CD and deployment architectures
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or equivalent)
- Cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
- Observability, telemetry, and reliability practices
- Experience supporting AI-enabled systems in production environments
- Ability to operate at an architect level, defining standards, patterns, and reference designs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI platform delivery, AIOps, or AgentOps concepts
- Familiarity with autonomous systems governance or runtime controls
- Experience operating in large, federated enterprises
- Master’s degree preferred
Additional Information
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position
- Sponsorship for US work authorization is not available for this position, now or in the future
