Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HVAC Design Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing efficient and sustainable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
- Develop comprehensive HVAC system designs using AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Perform load calculations and energy modeling to optimize HVAC system performance
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports for HVAC projects
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
- Conduct site visits to assess existing HVAC systems and propose improvements
- Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and energy-efficient solutions
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC system design for commercial and industrial buildings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM software, and energy modeling tools
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and HVAC system components
- In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and client meetings
