Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor - Civil with 10+ years of experience, including significant exposure to airport infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for civil construction projects within the airport domain. The role requires expertise in quantity take-offs, cost analysis, contract management, and ensuring project delivery within budget and compliance with industry standards.

Job Description

· Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil works related to airport infrastructure projects.

· Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications.

· Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including cost breakdowns and pricing schedules.

· Evaluate contractor and supplier bids, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.

· Administer contracts, including preparation, negotiation, and management of variations and claims.

· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve disputes in a timely manner.

· Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.

· Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.

· Prepare interim valuations and certify contractor payments based on work progress.

· Conduct final account settlements and ensure accurate project closure documentation.

· Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.

· Prepare and present regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates to senior management and clients.

· Ensure all cost-related activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and airport-specific guidelines.

· Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in quantity surveying and airport infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

· Minimum 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying for civil construction projects.

· At least 5 years of experience in airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, terminal buildings, and related facilities.

· Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimation and reporting.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

· Ability to identify cost-related challenges and provide effective solutions to ensure project success.

· Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
