Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport IT Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our team as part of a Project Management Consultant engagement for an airport project. The ideal candidate will act as a technical advisor and coordinator, ensuring that the IT systems and infrastructure are designed, implemented, and integrated in alignment with the project’s objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices. This role involves overseeing contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of IT systems within the construction timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
· Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related aspects of the project. Monitor and review contractors’ and vendors’ work to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
· Coordinate with the construction, design, and operations teams to integrate IT systems seamlessly into the airport infrastructure.
· Provide expert guidance on the design, installation, and commissioning of IT systems, including:
· Airport Operational Database (AODB), Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS),Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) integration Access Control and CCTV systems Network infrastructure (wired and wireless)
· Review and approve technical designs, specifications, and deliverables submitted by contractors and vendors.
· Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure the quality of IT installations and adherence to project timelines.
· Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection standards.
· Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and end-users to ensure IT systems meet operational requirements.
· Facilitate coordination between multiple stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and government agencies.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
· Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in IT systems design, implementation, and management, with at least 5 years in airport or aviation projects.
· Expertise in IT infrastructure, system integration, and airport-specific IT systems (AODB, FIDS, BHS, etc.).
· Strong knowledge of international standards such as ICAO, IATA, and ISO.
· Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital tools for project management.
Additional Information
· Previous experience working as part of a Project Management Consultant (PMC) team.
· Familiarity with emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, and cloud computing in airport operations.
· Proactive problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
