Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - MHS (Material Handling Systems) to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge material handling systems for our clients across various industries.
- Spearhead the design and development of complex material handling systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage large-scale projects from conception to completion, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate material handling solutions with existing systems and processes
- Conduct thorough analysis of client requirements and propose innovative solutions to optimize their material handling operations
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design drawings, and operational procedures
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in material handling systems
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in existing material handling systems
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and technical concepts effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in material handling engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Advanced knowledge of material handling systems, technologies, and industry best practices
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to optimize complex systems
- Excellent project management skills, including experience with large-scale implementation projects
- In-depth understanding of automation systems and their integration with material handling equipment
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in material handling
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor team members
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits and client meetings
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
