Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ELV Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an ELV Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and optimal performance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems in various buildings and facilities throughout the region.
- Conduct thorough inspections of ELV systems, including fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control systems
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of ELV systems
- Verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and local regulations
- Identify and document deficiencies, non-conformities, and potential safety hazards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of projects
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
- Travel within the region as required to perform inspections at various sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in ELV systems inspection or related field
- In-depth knowledge of ELV systems, including fire alarm, security, CCTV, and access control
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC)
- Familiarity with building management systems
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
- Relevant certifications such as NICET or CFPS preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel within the region for inspections
- Proficiency in using computer software for report writing and data analysis
