Job Description
The Proposal/Bid Coordinator is a key part of AECOM ’s regional Major Pursuits Team. As part of our regional team, you will collaborate closely with bid leaders to manage and coordinate all aspects of the proposal process. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Role Responsibilities:
- Facilitate key pre-proposal activities, such as win strategy workshops.
- Support bid leads in mobilizing technical, commercial, and marketing resources ahead of procurement.
- Use AECOM’s work-winning tools and processes to maximize success.
- Coordinate activities for PQQs and tenders, including bid schedules, progress tracking, and risk management.
- Analyze client requirements in PQQs and RFPs to create competitive, compliant responses.
- Source and tailor content such as templates, CVs, case studies, and storyboards for proposals.
- Monitor bid progress, flagging risks and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Deliver polished, error-free submissions that meet client specifications.
- Assist in creating impactful presentations for major opportunities.
- Oversee post-submission processes, including internal debriefs and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, English, Communications, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing or bid coordination
- Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software
- Strong data analysis, research, and time management abilities
- Proven track record of successful proposal submissions
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- APMP certification and knowledge of government contracting processes preferred
Additional Information
While this is a hybrid role with limited office attendance, it requires flexibility to co-locate or travel to other cities as needed, depending on the locations of bids or project requirements.
