Job Description
AECOM is seeking a motivated Digital Solutions Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate in engineering who is passionate about leveraging digital tools and data to drive innovation in the capital infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will contribute to building custom analysis, visualization, and dashboarding solutions to support program management, sustainability, and operational efficiency. This position is based out of Mississauga.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Visualization:
- Build interactive dashboards and custom visualizations in PowerBI to support decision-making processes.
- Analyze and integrate diverse datasets, including carbon emissions, energy performance, schedules, and IoT data, for actionable insights.
- BIM Data:
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and leveraging middleware or API to extract and structure data.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and meaningful use of BIM data for program analysis and reporting.
- Gaming Engine Technologies:
- Explore and apply gaming engine technologies (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) to enhance information visualization and user engagement for capital infrastructure programs and projects.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, and data specialists, to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Present findings, dashboards, and recommendations to stakeholders in clear and compelling formats.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies in BIM, data visualization, and infrastructure program management.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and workflows.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study of relevant experience in Planning, Design or Construction Management, Research, and interest in complex PMIS, BIM, GIS, and Digital Twin technology employing a variety of technologies, technology generations, and integration platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ideally experience with Power BI for developing interactive dashboards and data visualizations.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and familiarity with leveraging middleware or APIs for data extraction and integration.
- Exposure to gaming engine technologies (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) for creating advanced visualizations and enhancing user engagement.
