Job Description
AECOM Buildings + Places is actively seeking a highly organized Graduate Project Manager to be based in our Madrid office.
As a Graduate Project Manager, you will be joining a highly motivated and proactive team, working on multidisciplinary projects delivered across several geographies, with the potential to grow and thrive. Managing diverse projects will provide you with the opportunity to learn from professionals from different fields of expertise, acquiring general knowledge of the design and construction process.
Also you will get an overview of the complete project life cycle, from early proposal stages, throughout the project planning, set up and execution, up to project closure.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited, to the following tasks:
- Managing multiple projects of various complexities, working with international delivery teams.
- Information and document management, and organization of deliveries.
- Client interface, preparation of presentations, and coordination and set up of meetings, agenda, and meeting minutes.
- Project performance control and production of project control documentation: risk assessment, schedules, financial control, list of deliverables, reports, etc.
- Quality control of deliverables, and coordination of project quality control processes.
- Stakeholder management, including internal stakeholders and assisting the Design Manager with general coordination of the delivery team.
- Coordination and management of project subcontractors, including procurement.
- General assistance in business development tasks, including preparation of proposal bid documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
University Degree in Planning, Design, Architecture, Engineering or Construction fields.
English fluent (oral and written at proficiency level: C1+) is essential. Other European language proficiency will be a plus (German, Italian, French, Spanish, Polish, Dutch).
Some previous experience in a similar role with architecture, engineering or construction planning background.

- Are a team player and able to work with different stakeholders: teams, clients, sub-consultants, and vendors.
- Have good organization skills and are able to multitask, overseeing several projects simultaneously.
- Are highly motivated, willing to both learn and propose.
- Are excellent in communication, presentation and general interpersonal skills.
- Have worked within BIM environment.
- Are an advance user of Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Are open to travel at work.
