Job Description

We are seeking an experienced business leader who is ready to make an impact in our Bridges team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the technical aspects of bridge design, construction, and maintenance projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation while continuing to nurture our current clients and build upon our existing network.

In this role you will:

 

  • Lead and mentor a team of bridge engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and regulatory bodies while aligning projects with organizational goals
  • Oversee the design, engineering, and construction of complex bridge structures, ensuring compliance with standards and implementing best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver successful bridge projects
  • Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and represent the organization in industry forums and client meetings
  • Drive change and innovation within the team with the aim of being a market leader

Qualifications

About you:

  • 20+ years of experience in bridge engineering, design and asset management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects
  • Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in complex engineering scenarios
  • Advanced knowledge of bridge design principles, codes, and standards                       
  • In-depth knowledge of bridge construction techniques and materials
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred, RPEQ
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Strong client relationships across QLD including with TMR.
  • Experience leading change management
