Job Description
AECOM is seeking a CAD Design Supervisor - Bridge Division for our Seattle, WA office to oversee technical aspects of CAD on projects to the CAD staff operating in the office and various bridge design projects.
A specific knowledge of WSDOT and Sound Transit is required as these clients are very particular with their needs that cannot easily be addressed through our national and internation network.
Performs various responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
- Select professional will oversee numerous CAD staff in the Seattle O ffice
- Will have full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
- Possesses multi-disciplinary knowledge of design.
- Plans and develops technical design tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
- Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
- Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.
- Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
- Supervises group of designers, coordinating activities of the unit.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise using CAD software. (MicroStation, AutoCAD)
- Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring skills in a high-volume design atmosphere.
- WSDOT structural detailing experience
