Job Description
As a result of significant project pipeline, AECOM’s 'Resources and Industrial' (R&I) team in our Brisbane office have created a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) experience to support the successful delivery of a range of projects across the region.
In joining our dynamic team, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of Intelligent Transport projects, road lighting and smart lighting systems.
You will be a key team member, working with other highly skilled engineers, helping us to deliver a better world for our clients and the communities in which we operate.
Main Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the detailed design of a range of projects across industrial, mining and transport projects using your experience of ITS / Road Lighting.
- Work with our Tier 1 clients on a range of projects, playing your part in the design, construction and commissioning of ITS and road lighting projects.
- Support the Senior Engineers within the team with the coordination and management of clients, contractors and multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure the timely delivery of ITS and road lighting projects.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant standards, codes and regulations ensuring excellent project outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications
You are a passionate, professional ‘Intelligent Transport System’ Engineer with proven excellence in client service delivery.
As an ITS Engineer, you will have:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with RPEQ (or working towards)
- Ideally, 4 + years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer with a focus or passion in ITS, with sound knowledge of Australian standards, codes and other legislation.
- Prior project experience in electrical design, construction and commissioning of ITS and/or road lighting projects.
- Exposure to industry standard software such as; AGI, Perfect Lite, ETAP and PowerCAD.
- Experience in the heavy industry / transport sector with exposure to; fibre optics and communication controls, traffic control systems, surveillance systems, variable message signs and sensors (advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence internal and external stakeholders at all stages of the project lifecycle.
