Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Force Account Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspections on a variety of construction projects including railroad, bridge and highway in Connecticut. Come join our team on these exciting projects!
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Participates in scheduling of force account activities to meet project goals.
- Responsible for coordination of all railroad force account work.
- Monitors conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Tracks quality assurance progress reports.
- Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma and 4 years of related railroad construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Proven experience in performing inspections on related railroad construction project.
- Valid Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional inspection certifications / licenses.
- Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT), Metro-North, Amtrack
